So much to talk about

So much has happened in the last few weeks. I'm not even going to make an attempt to remember it all. So this will be an extremely summarized version of the first few weeks of March.

For starters, Lauren came out to visit on Thursday the 1st. We really packed a lot into that weekend, including whale watching, a Kings game, some amazing meals, and a random comic night at a small comedy club (where Daniel Tosh came out and performed a surprise set).

A few days later Vince flew out and joined us. We spent a lot of time at the beach, watched and played some hockey, visited Paddy's Pub (from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), and explored the area.

Biff was pretty pumped about it too.

If you want some more details, or want to see where I stole most of these pictures from, check out Lauren's blog here

It was just what I needed, and it's nice to know that Vince will be back out with Carolyn for a few weeks at the end of May. So until then, it's time to do some serious work.

I'm still writing articles for Bestcovery.com on the side, although I've been so busy with work and guests in town that I haven't had much time to write lately. But more articles are definitely on the way.

Also, I came back to Relativity after my vacation, but this Friday will be my last day. I just got a job working nights for America's Got Talent. It'll be a nice switch, and I'm really looking forward to starting on Monday.

That's it for now!

Busy times

Well things have been pretty uneventful in the last few weeks.. Actually, kind of criminally uneventful. But I have done a few things to pass the time... A few.

Yep, that's me at work, rocking the hockey jersey for Hockey Weekend in America, the holiday that nobody knows about in California except for me. That's how cool I am.

Speaking of hockey, I've been playing a lot lately. I try to go to the rink in the evenings on weekends, but during the week I have to go at 6:00 AM because there's no ice time after work anywhere. I love playing so much, it feels great to get back on the ice.

And to mention hockey one more time, I got a second job reviewing hockey equipment for Bestcovery.com. It's something I really enjoy doing, so I'm going to be bummed when all my articles are written. So just go to http://www.bestcovery.com/ and search for hockey to see some of the work I've done. There'll be two or three added per week.

In less than two weeks Lauren and Vince come visit, so I'll be taking some time off work and showing them around SoCal. I have a lot planned so I'm sure we'll have a great time. And then Vince and Carolyn come out for two weeks in late May/early June. So there's a lot to look forward to in the very near future.

That's it for now!

Winter in California

That would be Gilbert. The latest dog to make his presence felt at Relativity. Pretty cool guy.

Anyway.. The last few weeks have been nice and busy. So let's get right into it:

A few weeks back I worked the NFLPA Pulse Awards. I was a talent escort for a few actors and athletes. I got to escort Warren Moon, Marshall Faulk, and Andre Reed. Granted, I had no idea who any of those people were before the event, but it was still cool. I also got to chat a little with Antonio Brown, who is definitely someone I'm familiar with. I did get to talk to Joe Manganiello (How I met your mother, True Blood, and Spiderman) a lot. He's from Pitt, so we reminisced about our favorite bars back in PA.

It was a really fun night. I love getting to work on things like this.

This last weekend Brittany invited me to go to an event to raise money for kids with cancer called "Lights, Camera, Cure." It was an LA version of Penn State's THON, so it was full of Penn Staters and had no shortage of people that wanted to talk about Happy Valley. It made me a little homesick, but in a good way. It was also great to take part in such a good cause.

Over $37,000 raised. Pretty awesome.

Well that's my life right now. I'll be working hard all through February to save up for my visits from Lauren and Vince in early March. I'll be taking about a week off work to explore everything LA has to offer with them, it's going to be great!

And..... My mom and Steve just mailed my hockey gear out the other day. So within the next few days, I'll be back out on the ice!

Until next time, here's some pictures of the LA scenery:

And.... I'm back.

Yes, 2012 is underway. It's been far too long since my last post, and so much has happened. Let's summarize my wonderful trip to PA:

FAMILY

It felt great to come home and immediately be surrounded by my family. I didn't get home until after midnight on Christmas Eve, and I was very happy to be reunited with everyone first thing in the morning.

FRIENDS

I was able to hang out with mostly everyone while I was home. I juggled my time between Lewistown, Harrisburg, and Lancaster and had time to atleast get some time in with most of my close friends.

LAUREN

The day after Christmas I wasted no time before heading to Harrisburg and hanging out with Lauren. We actually got to spend a lot of time together, including New Years Eve. I loved it!

HOCKEY

As some of the other pictures showed, we got to play some hockey over break. Vince rented out the entire Hersheypark Arena for a few hours and all of us went out and skated around and played. It was the best possible way to hang out with all my friends. Good times.

FOOD

Need I say more?

PITTSBURGH

What would a trip to PA be without some time in Pitt to see my beloved Penguins? Vince and I went to see the Pens/Flyers game. We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Carolyn's cousin's house, and had a great time... Even though the Penguins lost.

DOGS

Because there are a lot of them in my family, and they're awesome.

So yes, that was an extremely summarized version of my PA vacation. But now it's back to work in Hollywood. I've been so busy lately with work that I've hardly had a chance to do much of anything, let alone update the blog.

I did end up falling into some cheap tickets for the LA Kings, last week. So I got to see them play twice in four days.

And then after work Friday, I made a visit to Anaheim with some friends from work to see two of my favorite bands from when I was a teenager: Nofx and Lagwagon.

So yes, that's the quick version of what's going on in my life. I'll try to make an effort to update this more in the future and I'm sure I'll have some cool stuff to talk about, since it looks like I'll have some visitors from PA within the next few months!

I'll be working the NFL Pulse Awards this Friday as a talent escort. Watch for me on the NBC Sports Channel!

2011

Last week I drove to Pomona after work to see one of my favorite bands, Larry and his Flask, play at a small venue in a restaurant. Such a great show! I was able to take some really cool pictures.

Good Times.

Well 2011 is almost over. I fly back home tomorrow to see my friends and family for the first time since the beginning of July. It's hard to believe everything that has happened in the last year. I am so thankful for the great people in my life that supported me in this quest to move to California. I'm a very lucky guy, and in 2012 I hope I can continue to move forward in this crazy business. I also hope everyone can get a chance to come visit and see just how great Redondo Beach is.

Also, a big thank you goes out to Brittany (yet again) for watching Biff while I'm in PA. I brought him to the office today, so I'm spending my last day with him before I drop him off tonight.

He's pretty pumped. I wanted to do something nice for him, since he gave me such a thoughtful Christmas gift this week:

That's all for 2011. Time to get back to freezing cold PA and hang out with everyone. See you in 2012!
