Busy times

Well things have been pretty uneventful in the last few weeks.. Actually, kind of criminally uneventful. But I have done a few things to pass the time... A few.

Yep, that's me at work, rocking the hockey jersey for Hockey Weekend in America, the holiday that nobody knows about in California except for me. That's how cool I am.

Speaking of hockey, I've been playing a lot lately. I try to go to the rink in the evenings on weekends, but during the week I have to go at 6:00 AM because there's no ice time after work anywhere. I love playing so much, it feels great to get back on the ice.

And to mention hockey one more time, I got a second job reviewing hockey equipment for Bestcovery.com. It's something I really enjoy doing, so I'm going to be bummed when all my articles are written. So just go to http://www.bestcovery.com/ and search for hockey to see some of the work I've done. There'll be two or three added per week.

In less than two weeks Lauren and Vince come visit, so I'll be taking some time off work and showing them around SoCal. I have a lot planned so I'm sure we'll have a great time. And then Vince and Carolyn come out for two weeks in late May/early June. So there's a lot to look forward to in the very near future.

That's it for now!

Winter in California

That would be Gilbert. The latest dog to make his presence felt at Relativity. Pretty cool guy.

Anyway.. The last few weeks have been nice and busy. So let's get right into it:

A few weeks back I worked the NFLPA Pulse Awards. I was a talent escort for a few actors and athletes. I got to escort Warren Moon, Marshall Faulk, and Andre Reed. Granted, I had no idea who any of those people were before the event, but it was still cool. I also got to chat a little with Antonio Brown, who is definitely someone I'm familiar with. I did get to talk to Joe Manganiello (How I met your mother, True Blood, and Spiderman) a lot. He's from Pitt, so we reminisced about our favorite bars back in PA.

It was a really fun night. I love getting to work on things like this.

This last weekend Brittany invited me to go to an event to raise money for kids with cancer called "Lights, Camera, Cure." It was an LA version of Penn State's THON, so it was full of Penn Staters and had no shortage of people that wanted to talk about Happy Valley. It made me a little homesick, but in a good way. It was also great to take part in such a good cause.

Over $37,000 raised. Pretty awesome.

Well that's my life right now. I'll be working hard all through February to save up for my visits from Lauren and Vince in early March. I'll be taking about a week off work to explore everything LA has to offer with them, it's going to be great!

And..... My mom and Steve just mailed my hockey gear out the other day. So within the next few days, I'll be back out on the ice!

Until next time, here's some pictures of the LA scenery:
